“Evolving Sounds" is a project that I’m currently developing — my first, very personal portrait album and an exploration of how the bassoon’s voice has changed through the centuries.

 

The idea is to record, on each of my historical bassoons, a work that was composed in the same period and geographical region as the instrument itself. Each of them reveals a different sound world and character.

 

The project is still taking shape, but my goal is to create a musical journey that lets listeners experience how the bassoon has evolved — and how its voice continues to resonate in new and unexpected ways.
